Control is smooth and predictable, even with a demanding workload. By delivering power exactly when needed, the system also contributes to fuel savings.Reversible fan The HW A Series provides excellent cooling performance by increasing heat dissipation and reducing downtime caused by overheating.Eco gauge Helps operators to reduce emissions and running costs by constantly monitoring efficiency. It displays energy workload and fuel-saving status while the machine is working.Fuel rate information Fuel information is displayed as average rate and latest fuel consumed, for guidance to economical operating.Engine auto-idle The auto-idle feature saves fuel, reduces noise and cuts exhaust emissions by automatically switching the engine to idle setting when the excavator is inactive.

Tested to extremes, the HW A Series has a durable cooling module proven to perform at maximum productivity levels in the toughest working environments.


Longer maintenance intervals

The service interval of the fuel filter on the new engine has been increased by 100% (from 500h to 1000h). In addition, the long life hydraulic oil (5000h change interval) contributes greatly to reducing the maintenance cost.

Axles and fenders

The HW A-Series has been equipped with a heavy duty axle for higher durability and to enhance stability in different conditions and material handling applications. Sturdy fenders, covering the wheel even when steering, have been added to protect the tyres from flying debris while driving.


Hydraulic system

Hi-grade (high-pressure) hoses

The HW A-Series uses high-pressure hoses with improved heat and pressure resistance, greatly increasing the durability of the equipment.


Operator's cab

FNR and ram lock switch

The Forward/Reverse switch is positioned right at the operator’s fingertip. The front axle oscillation lock can also be activated from the joystick, improving convenience and productivity on demanding jobs.


Swing system

Better weight balance

The machine upper frame has been moved forward from the swing center to reduce the tail swing radius and the swing support height has been lowered to optimize weight balance.


Proportional auxiliary hydraulic system

A proportional control switch with better speed control provides operators with added convenience where they do time-consuming work. This function can also be switched to control by foot pedal, by changing the setting in the cluster menu.


Fine swing & swing lock system

This option enables smooth movement at the start and stop of swing operation (cushion swing). The swing lock function provides additional safety, during road travel or transportation.


Electronic swing brake

An electronic valve and control system has been added to improve safety and utilisation. The opening and closing time of the swing brake valve is controlled according to the sensing and control system.


Cruise control & speed limiter

Cruise control and speed limiter allows the operator to regulate speed whilst in transit. An automatic creep speed enables the operator to concentrate on finer machine control and operation.


Standard and optional equipment

Jog Dial Module

The accelerator, remote air conditioner controller and instrument cluster can be operated using the convenient jog shuttle-type controller.

Side camera

In addition to the standard rear view camera, there is an optional right hand side camera for giving the operator improved visibility.
