A win-win solution
The EC27C diesel engine delivers the highest levels of power and fuel efficiency. Direct injection ensures efficient mixing within the cylinder to meet Tier4i / Stage 3A standards for lower emissions, less noise on site, reducing fuel consumption. And the large fuel filler makes it quick and easy to fill from a container or pump. All this results in lower overall life costs. The EC27C is ideally suited to ground leveling, filling, grading and contouring. On the one hand, its solid tractive force boosts your strength so that work can be done earlier. On the other hand, its float blade allows precise finishing with minimal effort. By pushing forward at the blade lever, you engage the blade cylinder to exert minimum but consistent reduction force to handle the task faster. The hydraulic quick-coupler enables accessory changes to be carried out without leaving the cab. A wide range of genuine Volvo digging and digging shovels ensure optimum versatility during any desired job.
Inside the cab
Ready for a full day's work? Look at all the space it gives to you and storage inside the Volvo cab. The high-height seat is suspended and secured by a seat belt that retracts in case of non-use. A visual alarm on the new, easy-to-see instrument panel alerts if not fully engaged.

Fuel economy
The EC27C engine automatically returns to idle after 5 seconds when no controls are operated, which saves fuel and causes less trouble on site. Then it picks up RPM almost instantly to return to the speed previously selected as soon as the operator operates any control system. To prevent theft and vandalism, the ignition key can be used to lock the access field of the fuel filler and tool box.
Easier upkeep
To save time and lower maintenance costs, the engine is located on the side for easier access. The large cover lifts wide open to facilitate checking and cleaning of engine oil levels, fuel circuits, air filters; coolant, radiator water and throttle cable. Equally fast and easy are hydraulic maintenance. By dropping only three screws back-covering can be removed directly from control valve; hydraulic oil filter; solenoid valves; servo circuit pressure accumulator (spiral) and pressure check ports. Everything under control
A roll on the right joystick gives precise fingertip control of the accessory circuit and boom offset. Electro-proportional control allows to adjust quantity and direction of flow at touch. Or for most demanding applications, you can fine tune the auxiliary hydraulic flow with a rotation of the dial on the optional potentiometer.

All round visibility
The contoured cab is glazed on all four sides, making it easier to escape obstacles and quickly put the machine in position. Reduced wear and tear
Cleaning the spacious cabin interior is no problem, because there is no offset pedal to overload the floor and the mat has no ribs for dust, dirt or gravel. Similarly, even the sloping side links of the undercarriage forbid earth's laying in order to save cleaning and maintenance times. All this makes it a little easier to maintain the machine and its market value every day.

Safety at work
Volvo EC27C's cab and canopy exceed FOPS 1, ROPS, and TOPS standards to ensure all-round protection against falling objects and the risk of roll over or tipping. The battery disconnect switch on the outside can turn off power for safety. And the rotary table is held by an automatic braking system at the swing motor, even when working heavily strained on slopes or banks.
