Quality componentry.
6 The cab door folds back to fit within the counterweight length and keeps them out of the way when opening. 7 The hydraulic system features hydraulic fittings O-Ring Face Seal (ORFS) for optimum sealing effectiveness. 8 High quality 15.7" (400 mm) rubber tracks with locking links perform even in the most difficult conditions. Optional 15.7" (400 mm) or 21.7' (550 mm) steel rails are pre-drilled to accept rubber pads. Optional Bridgestone geogrip
ZTS or CTS?
1 The new generation of 4-6 tonnes JCB compact excavators features a JCB Diesel by Kohler Tier 4 Final engine, with diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC), turbocharger and intercooler. It delivers 48 hp and 221 lb-ft torque at just 2,000 rpm. 4 The JCB 4-XTonnen excavator range includes Zero Tail Swing (ZTS) and conventional rear swing machines (CTS) for any application. ZTS offers greater maneuverability within confined jobsites, while CTS machines offer more stability, lifting capacity and a larger digging end. 2 Tracking performance is smooth and precise; this allows exceptional dozer capabilities and fast travel times to be made possible.

Engine / Driveline and transmission
Dynamic engine design.
1 A lower idle function reduces engine speed when the operator's armrest is raised for better fuel consumption and lower noise levels. 2 Activate One-Touch Idle by pressing the new slew control selector to quickly reduce revs and save fuel. Programmable auto idling can also be activated after the controls have been inactive for a while. 3 The engine rpm can be controlled with four different power bands - light, eco, heavy and heavy plus – easily set to optimal hydraulic flow for the selected attachment. 4 The patented low pressure recirculation circuit improves fuel efficiency once again by reducing demand on the hydraulic pump. -

1 The spacious new generation of JCB compact excavators are easily accessed via a wide-opening door. Inside, the cabs feature ample storage space, a telephone storage compartment, stowage net and cup holder within easy reach. 2 cabin features a radio, 12-v phone charger, powerful heater with window decorator as well as high performance air conditioning with eight vents. 3 An innovative rotary controller and easy-touch switch are designed for simple, intuitive use. 4 Standard, ergonomic, electrohydraulic dozer control allows smooth and precise grading. 5 Change quickly between single and double acting auxiliary flow with a convenient switch inside the cab.
Hydraulic innovation.
4 A premium, closed center hydraulic system enables improved flow division for smooth, precise and balanced multi-functioning. 5 Programmable twin auxiliary lines provide high and optional low hydraulic flow to operate a range of attachments. Both auxiliary lines are electronically proportionally controlled and fully adjustable for optimal attachment control. 6 The optional 4-way dozer planer can be angled right and left. Combined with the dozer float function, levelling and backfilling makes easy even on inclines or uneven terrain. -
Tyres / Tracks
All daily checks and fuel fills at ground level 100% steel body work and simplified H-frame undercarriage. Best-in-class 500 hour greasing intervals.

1 Graphite impregnated bronze bushes allow world class, 500-hour greasing intervals. 2 An open undercarriage and slanted track legs facilitate easy cleaning. 3 dozer hoses end on the bulkhead, for easy replacement when needed. 4 The wide opening, fullsteel hood and external fuel gauge make it easy to fill the tank from ground level. An optional refuelling pump with auto stop reduces spillages and increases safety. 5 Removing the cab floor is simple providing access to key components such as main control valve consoles. 6 anti-slip casting profile plates provide safe access and bodywork protection. Removable floor mat allows light cleaning. 1 The new generation of JCB excavators are fully ROPS and TOPS compliant. For increased protection, impact guard glass is an available option. 2 The unique JCB 2GO system requires two separate inputs so the hydraulic system can only be operated when in a safe lockable position. 3 Our unique 2GO system ensures that your compact excavator hydraulics can safely be operated via just two separate entrances. As an optional safety feature, hydraulics can only be activated if the operator sits and the seat belt is latched. 4 hose breakout test valves (HBCV) are available for the boom, dozer and arm with one overload screen. 5 The monitor includes a load monitor with indicator lights from green to red area.
