The swing tower is made of heavy-duty cast steel for long days of precision performance. Combine this flexibility with improved arm digging forces on the B Series models, excellent lifting capacities and superior balance, and you have large excavator capacity with a compact footprint. OPERATOR ENVIRONMENT Comfort with commanding views The new B Series models have a larger operating platform 20 percent bigger than on previous compact models! With more space to work, the operator will feel better and be more productive. The three-piece ROPS design on the B Series models makes it easy to penetrate into or get out of the excavators; thus providing a 40 percent wider entry area. Plus, the three-stage ROPS gives the operator commandive views over the entire surrounding job site. For ultimate operational comfort, all models feature a heater and glass cabin covering ground. On CX27B through CX50B models, single touch engine retarding is standard, allowing quick reduction in engine speeds to save fuel and reduce exhaust emissions. An indicator panel includes readings at engine oil pressure, water temperature, low-fuel warning, hour meter and more. Pilot operated hand controls provide comfortable, highly responsive operation. Buckets With a wide range of bucket sizes and bucket digging forces up to 7,936 pounds (3600 kg), CX Series compact excavators deliver the power to dig out wherever you need them. Performance where others won't tread Sometimes it's your biggest challenge in construction to find enough room for work or the purchase of machines to be able to work in the confined spaces so widely used on jobsites. In every way, Case delivers the ideal solution with its range of compact excavators. With a full range of digging depths, buckets and attachment options, Case CX B Series compact excavators have commonality in terms of travel and working capability within narrow areas. The key to these excavators is a small footprint and zero tail swing. They rotate 360 degrees without any part of the upper bodywork beyond the tracks. These machines are available as easy as a trailer like a skid steer but feature large excavator functions. Plus you can rest assured that CX B Series Compact Excavators deliver all the power and performance you need. With increased engine horsepower, hydraulic pressure and hydraulic flow, the CX17B, CX27B, CX31B, CX36B and CX50B offers more power and speed for better cycle times than ever before, allowing you to get through the toughest Ultimate maneuverability, power and performance Imagine that they work closely on a line of foundations or fences, and don't worry about having enough room to turn or manoeuvre. With zero tail swings, Case compact excavators rotate within the width of their own tracks. Even in tight quarters dig, spin and unload them with great efficiency. While outstanding manoeuvrability is key to impressive cycle times, power and speed also enter the equation. The B Series models offer improved performance and speed as well as faster cycle times than ever before. The B Series machines have an average engine horsepower of 19 percent compared to previous models. These models also feature more hydraulic flow than previously, increased hydraulic horsepower and 11 percent increase arm digging force. Two-speed travel All CX B Series Compact Excavators are equipped with a two-speed drive function that matches speed and performance to job site conditions. Two-speed travel is automatic on the CX31B, CX36B and CX50B as well as manually on the CX17B and CX27B. Improved cycle times The B-Series Compact models reduce cycle times for impressive productivity. With higher engine horsepower, more hydraulic flow, greater hydraulic horsepower and improved arm digging force, compact B-Series excavators tear up the toughest with ease. Zero tail swing Through an intelligent, compact design, the Case compact excavators can be completely rotated within the width of their tracks. With the advantage of zero tail swinging operators focus on the work at hand rather than obstacles behind it.
Hydraulics
Auxiliary hydraulics The auxiliary hydraulics and plumbers on the arm provide power for a range of attachments, such as hammers, augers and thumbs. Easy maintenance. Maximum uptime. Easy operation of Case is vital for all products because we realize it helps you maximise your profitability. CX B Series Compact Excavators feature swing-out access panels and ground-mounted fuel, coolant and hydraulic fluid fills. For added protection the fuel cap and all access areas are lockable. Heavy duty travel motors provide excellent speed and traction. These are efficient two-speed axialpiston engines with planetary gear reduction. Heavy plate fuses prevent damage to the hydraulic line and components have additional guarantees that CX Series Compact Excavators are designed for reliable performance. The engine access door allows easy access to the air filter, oil level check and fill, coolant overflow and fuel filter. A single piece, swinging side access panel gives access to cooling components, valves and operator control pattern change valve.
Tyres / Tracks
CX17B has retractable tracks Do you have to move through a narrow opening with your excavator? For the Case CX17B, that's no problem using hydraulic retractable rails. Pull back the tracks, move through the narrow opening and then expand them for digging power and stability. With just a low ground pressure of 9 psi (27; 5 kpa) and a bucket digging force of 3,417 pounds (1550 kg), the CX17B is the ultimate compact package. EXPANDED The tracks retract (above) to allow and extend passage through narrow openings (right), in order to ensure added stability. Rubber tracks Standard, durable rubber tracks move easily CX B-Series Compact Excavators without damaging asphalt, concrete walls or other surfaces. The machines feature ground pressures ranging from 1 to 5 psi (21 to 31 kpa) for minimal soil disturbance. Short stick rubber on the tracks delivers low travel vibrations and low noise levels. Backfill blade CX B Series Compact Excavators are equipped with a hydraulically controlled backfill blade for added machine stability and light dozer work. The blade makes the excavators ideal machines for digging trenches and subsequent refilling.
