Case CX17B ZTS overview
Case CX17B ZTS features overview
CX15B SERIES 2 The CX15B Series 2 with its fixed chassis and standard dozer blade is offered in two versions: a 1-speed/canopy/standard seat version and one version which is 2 speed/cubic (with heater and suspension cloth seat) or canopy (with choice of stationary respectively suspended vinyl seats). Powered by an 11th 3 kw mitsubishi motor, the CX15B Series 2 features two variable displacement hydraulic pumps for maximum productivity. A confux system allows unused flow from any pump to support auxiliary flow when selected. This auxiliary circuit may be individually or double directed for a range of driven attachments. Quick disconnects are fitted on the dipper arm. Customers can also choose between short and long dipper arms to match their operation. The CX15B Series 2 takes the 300-500 mm buckets from the previous model CX16B and CX18B as well as those buckets belonging to the new CX18B series. CX18B SERIES 2 The Case CX18B Series 2 is offered as standard equipment with a variable undercarriage in width and extendible dozer blade. Includes two speed trackings, customers can opt for the new three-post canopy, featuring fixed or suspended seats, a heated full cab with one suspension seat. The 11th 3 kw Mitsubishi engine actuates a three-pump hydraulic system using two variable displacement piston pumps and a gear pump for slewing and boom swing functions. The Conflux system uses unused flow rate of this third pump to support the two main pumps when needed. A single and double directional auxiliary hydraulics can be supplied with quick connection arm fittings. Short and long dipper sticks are available and the machine can use 300-500 mm bucket on the previous model CX16B and CX18B plus the new CX15B range; CX17BZTS The all-new CX17B ZTS offers a zero tail design with a reduced counterweight overhang that can be rotated within the width of tracks, fully ZTS in canopy version or with minimal overhang in cab version for cabin protection. Available with a choice of rubber or steel undercarriage, the CX17B ZTS combines the advantages of zero tail and variable wide track to access the narrowest job locations. Two gear tracking is standard and the machine is available with the three post roof or heated glazed cab. Both options feature a suspension seat as standard. The CX17B ZTS benefits from the same mitsubishi engine and three pump operating system as on the CX18B Series 2, with two variable displacement piston pumps and one single gear pump as power increase if needed. A choice of long or short dipper arms is available and the machine can be fitted with either Single or Double Gear Drive (CX18B) series 2

Engine / Driveline and transmission
HIGH EFFICIENCY Case Series 2 with 1.5-ton machines features two highly efficient variable displacement piston pumps for power consumption on demand, reducing fuel consumption and increasing performance. CX17B ZTS and series 2 are also equipped with a gear pump for the swing and rotation circuit; this further boosts turning speeds and cuts cycle times. The two-speed travel selector is integrated into the right track control lever to cause instinct changes when moving and fast response to changing terrain. MAXIMISED PROFITABILITY With the adoption of the new engine and variable displacement hydraulics, CX15B-18B series 2 machines provide reduced fuel consumption as well as lower emissions. Fully removable side panels, easy access to the battery, a single key for locks and ignition plus access to all service and maintenance points under the engine canopy result in reduced operating times and increased productivity. Buckets from the previous CX16B and CX18B can be used by the Series 2 machines. The CX17B ZTS can also include the Serie 2 with a dedicated Klac or Lehnoff Quick Coupler System (CX15B), CX16B and CX18B - CX18B range 2 ENGINE The new 11, 3 kw Mitsubishi engine provides plenty of power on the 2nd Series machines. Central access with all service points easily reached from under the engine canopy reduces maintenance times and lowers service costs. If necessary, you can access the battery below the bonnet; thus reducing downtime further. All fluid checks can be carried out from ground level – for maximum operator safety and fast start-up every day.
Hydraulics
HYDRAULICS High efficiency hydraulic systems with two variable displacement pumps on all three machines and an additional gear pump on the CX17B ZTS and CX18B Series 2 provide maximum flow and pressure when needed. The hydraulic valves are easily reached thanks to removable light-weight plates of shock resistant side panels. Electrical fuses are located in a clean area below the operator seat, and on the CX17B ZTS and CX18B Series 2 machines, the switch is conveniently located between dozer blade operation and blade extension under the seat within shortest reach, further reducing downtime and increasing productivity.
Tyres / Tracks
Rugged components and design enhance the durability and reliability of the Case mini excavator. Protecting the main lift cylinder piston and for all greasing points is standard and the bodywork of the machine is designed by Telene. This material is shock resistant, making smaller repairs necessary on site reducing operating costs. CX17B ZTS and CX18B Series 2 models feature an expandable dozer blade with a locking system to prevent damage or loss of parts when inserting tracks. UNDERCARRIAGE The CX17B ZTS and CX18B 2 series are both provided with variable undercarriage width so that the machine can access confined working areas, but also ensures maximum stability when digging and loading. On the CX17B ZTS series machines and model CX18B 2 there is a extendable blade to adapt to the variable track gauge. This blade uses a locking system to prevent damage or part losses when entering the tracks. The CX15B range 2 comes as standard with a fixed undercarriage and rubber tracks. Track tensioning easily takes place using a standard grease gun, minimizing downtime and maximising productivity.

All class 5 tonne case machines use a new 11, 3 kw (15 hp) Mitsubishi engine for maximum efficiency and performance. A revised three-post canopy provides easy access and improved visibility as well as increased safety to the operator. The new cab option offers suspension seat and high capacity cabin heating system for overall operator comfort. Telene side panels in the upper structure of Series 2 offer enhanced shock resistance and less risk of damage, reducing repair costs and downtime. SAFE AND SECURE New cab and canopy are TOPS and FOPS Stage 1 for maximum operator protection. Revised design provides improvements in visibility around the machine, especially on the left side through the cabin door. The new cab option offers a suspension seat. Both servo hand levers are now equipped with red safety levers to prevent accidental operation; both boom oscillation and hammer control are protected by locks that provide security to the operator and other personnel on site. OPERATOR ENVIRONMENT Case Series 2 mini excavators feature a completely revised three-post canopy design with easier access and improved visibility. There is a choice of fixed or suspended vinyl seats that meet operating conditions. For those opting for a cab, the series 2 models are distinguished by a new design featuring standard heating system and suspension cloth seat. Larger windows and raised door glass improve visibility and low emission engine provides reduced noise levels to the operator. Easily accessible levers as well as hand and foot controls for the tracks ensure a comfortable working environment for the driver. OPERATOR'S CAB A redesigned fully glazed cab is available on the CX15B series 2 two-speed tracking model and all CX17B ZTS and CX18B Series 2. With a heater and suspension seat, the cabin offers tilt adjustable arm rests, a glazed canopy part for improved visibility when loading as well as a windshield that can be easily stowed in the roof of the Cab. The lower front window can be stored behind the driver's seat and there is a larger window in the door to further improve vision. Reduced cab pillars add added value to enhanced view onto all sides of the machine. Ergonomic servo levers with a two stage tracking control under the thumb of the track lever offer the operator easy access, intuitive control of the machine. Swing control and auxiliary control are protected both by a footrest lock so as to prevent unpredictable usage, enhance safety and reduce risk of damage to the machine. Low internal noise level and plenty of head, arm and leg space provide an operating environment (with TOP guarding system) For all operators working classes also enjoy full safety over the top gear class.
