Cab Comfort & Visibility

The operator remains in complete control of the paver operating in a safe and comfortable seating position, ergonomically-positioned controls on the central control panel slide to both machine sides. Handrails permit safe movement around the machine platform. There is excellent visibility to the hopper, material delivery truck, auger area, material flow, screed, and final mat.

Foldable Sunshade

The all-weather sunshade with wide open sides provides good operator visibility and reduces fatigue for increased safety and productivity.

Hydraulic track tensioner

The automatic full time track tensioning system maintains correct track tension for smooth operation while reducing track wear and minimizing downtime.

Automatic conveyor & auger control

Paddle switches provide on-off control of the conveyor and auger, helping to provide uniform and consistent control of the material.

Adjustable height and reversing auger

Ability to adjust auger height to improve material transfer and flow. Reversing the auger improves material control and reduces hand labor.

Paving width up to 7 m with the Volvo Omni V screed

Featuring a maximum paving width of 7 m using extensions, this proven variable width design employs on-the-go operation. The powerful tamping bar and vibration system delivers high precompaction density. A mechanical crown adjustment flexes the screed plate +/- 3 degrees. The electronically ignited gas heating system, designed with flame failure protection, quickly and efficiently heats the screed plate, while the LPG blower burner system provides uniform heat for a smooth mat finish, with quality precompaction.

Load sensing hydraulic system

Hydraulics perfectly matched to all Volvo components, from hopper to screed, provide a long life, less maintenance and high traction performance. The trouble free, load sensing system is powered by a variable displacement axial piston pump.

Wear-resistant features

The P5320B ABG paver material handling system is designed to incorporate hard and extra thick, wear-resistant components, all delivering a long life while resisting wear from abrasive lay down material.

Omni V Screed

Using hydraulic telescoping cylinders, the screed features on-the-go width changes from 2.5 to 4.75 m. Features both tamping bar and vibration for high compaction off the screed. This heavy duty screed delivers a high quality consistent mat.

Crown adjustment

Flex the heavy duty screed plate +/- 3 degrees using the mechanical crown adjustment, easily obtaining road crowns and drainage profiles.

Heavy duty sealed bearings

Every bearing of the material handling system is specially designed with multi level protection to reduce maintenance/repair costs.
