New Holland LW 110 overview

New Holland LW 110 features overview

Powerful engines.

Reliable, low-emission Iveco turbocharged engines deliver plenty of power and outstanding fuel economy. To assure maximum operating efficiency, the engine torque has been carefully balanced for each machine. Each machine comes standard with an electric, cold weather starting aid to get you moving quickly in extreme temperatures.

Servicing is simple.

Lockable side panels give you excellent ground-level access to all major engine components and service points. Conveniently located check points and easy-access grease points help keep you out of the shop and on the job.

Engine / Powertrain / Drivetrain

Reliable transmissions

All three models feature dependable, oversized transmissions that deliver smooth gear shifting and direction changes. The three-speed-forward/three-speed-reverse transmission on the LW90 is electronically controlled, while the LW110 and LW130 both come standard with electronically controlled transmissions featuring four forward and four reverse gears. For easier operation, the LW110 and LW130 also offer an optional automatic transmission with kick-down, hold and downshift features. Each transmission also houses a wet multiple-disc parking brake. Because the parking brake is fully enclosed and protected, it delivers positive braking action and reliable, long-life operation.

Precise control at your fingertips

The LW90, LW110 and LW130's smooth-shifting transmissions are controlled by a single lever mounted on the left side of the steering column. A simple flick of the wrist is all it takes to shift gears and change forward/reverse direction. The LW110 and LW130 offer an optional automatic transmission for greater ease of operation and increased operator productivity. Boom and implement control is just as convenient. Their ergonomic placement and low-effort operation assure minimal operator fatigue, even after the most demanding days. The single-lever mechanical control (LW90) and two-lever or joystick pilot controls (LW110-LW130) are mounted within easy reach of your right hand. Additionally, a conveniently located kick down switch lets the operator automatically downshift from second to first gear at the start of the digging cycle.

Brakes

Service brakes self adjusting Type wet disc on all four wheels. Control Pedal located on left of steering column. Electrical transmission disengage switch. Servo-assisted hydraulic brake circuit with independent circuit for each axle. Parking brake inboard oil-immersed, multiple disc. Parking brake control Hydraulic (lever in cab). Parking brake engages automatically when the engine stops. Brake circuits comply with the following international standards: ISO 3450, EEC 71/320, SAE J1473.

Axles

Front Rigid. Rear Oscillating. Rear axle oscillation 24°. Rear wheel vertical travel 15.2" (387 mm). Differentials Torque proportioning with automatic torque transfer. Oil change interval 2,000 hours. Final drives and wet disc brakes are hermetically sealed.

Hydraulic system

Performance

With rugged, large-diameter, fast-acting boom cylinders, they deliver extremely fast hydraulic cycle times as well as excellent breakout force, digging power, lift strength and dump height in any application. Each machine also features an electrical transmission-disengagement function. Activating this function transfers engine power from the transmission to the hydraulic system, giving you increased breakout force and lifting capacity. For maximum versatility, a third-function hydraulic circuit is standard on all three models—a feature not found on many competitive units.
