Machine Specifications

The overall machine length is 19 feet, 6 inches (5.94 m) for balance, while the turning clearance is kept to a minimal 32 feet, 8 inches (10 m) for tight-area maneuverability.

Drive Train

The heart of the new W14B is the new Case 6-590 engine. This six-cylinder, 359-cubic-inch (5.9 L) engine produces 90 net horsepower (67.1 kW). It is the same engine used in other popular high-production Case units, such as the 1085B, 880D, 680K, 780C, 850D/855D. The 6-590 has all the features and benefits of the Case Family I engines, including parts commonality, easy serviceability, simple design and fuel efficiency. The 6-590 powers a single-stage torque converter and a Clark 18000 series transmission. The fully modulated powershift transmission features three forward and three reverse speeds for maximum operator control of range and direction while roading or loading. To maintain braking integrity, a wet/dry reservoir system has been designed to separate moisture from the brake system air supply. The benefit is a more reliable braking system due to less corrosive action. The W14B brakes are operated by a wide, single pedal located for easy reach by either the right or left foot. A toggle switch on the loader control tower selects the neutral/drive function of the clutch cut-out. The neutral position disconnects the transmission as the brake pedal is applied, allowing full use of engine rpm for fast loader cycles. The drive position allows for braking against power for improved inching ability. For easy maneuvering, the steering has been designed for smooth operation, low efforts and cushioned stops, with two 2.5-inch (63.5 mm) steering cylinders and a 23.4 gpm (88.6 L/m) output steering pump. An improved cylinder placement design at the articulation joint gives smoother and more powerful turns.

Operator Compartment

The W14B operator's compartment is highlighted by a Case-built cab, interchangeable with the W30. This cab features a heater, defogger, three-speed pressurization, front wiper, 360-degree tinted glass, sound suppression, rear-view mirror and floodlights as standard.

Visibility Features

Tinted glass surrounds the operator and gives full-view visibility. Lower door windows enhance visibility to the surrounding groundline.

Loader

The business end of the W14B boasts an in-line loader that’s productive and built to stay that way. It starts with a loader frame designed with 1-3/4 inch (44.5 mm) solid, flame-cut steel loader arms for strength and durability. The crosstube is also engineered for the most severe jobs. With its heavy-duty design and integral corner gussets, the loader frame is protected from torsional loading.
