Adjustable Frequency

By using the variable frequency setting, the operator can adapt the vibration to the particular material that is being compacted. On the larger models, the variable centrifugal force enables a depth compaction of down to one metre.

Compactors

The smaller SD25 and SD45 compactors have well isolated operator platforms with excellent visibility to carry out demanding jobs in cramped locations. The range from SD70 to SD200 can all be equipped with a safe and comfortable cab with controlled climate to keep the operator fresh through the workshift. All SD-compactors feature comprehensive operator panels with gauges for oil, fuel, and cooling temperature. They can also be fitted with the intelligent CompAnalyzer, providing full control over the compaction process. The operator platform or cab is easily tiltable for maximum access to maintain and service the compactor’s hydraulic components. Additionally, the one-piece rear-hinged engine cover gives complete access to the engine’s service points, facilitating service jobs and boosting your machine’s availability.

CompAnalyzer

Volvo’s CompAnalyzer provides contractors with a full data documentation of the compaction process, and allows the operator to organise their work most efficiently.

CompGauge

The smaller compaction meter is for customers who require a display of current compaction values, but do not require data documentation.

The CompAnalyzer allows the operator to organise their work most efficiently. The display gives a continuous readout of the progress of compaction work. As soon as the maximum compaction level has been achieved, the driver can move on to the next section. Using the CompAnalyzer means avoiding unnecessary work, saving time and money.

Increased compaction quality

Volvo’s CompAnalyzer helps customers to safely detect any weak points on previously compacted surfaces, enabling them to be recompacted and stabilised. The user can print out compaction data inside the driver’s cab. A small thermal printer is available for this purpose, which is linked with the CompAnalyzer through an RS232 interface.
