Upper Structure

Ex17u

The EX17U is the smallest-sized ultra short radius mini-excavator that Hitachi offers in the Western Hemisphere. Reliable and rugged, it generates a lot of performance for its size. It features a standard swinging boom and dozer blade, with the bucket cylinder hose housed inside the arm for added protection. The four-pillar cab comes with 9” (230 mm) rubber shoes as standard, while a steel track is optional. High strength piston rods and tubes are included, along with cylinder cushion mechanisms provided in boom raise circuits to absorb shocks at stroke ends. Hydraulic pilot control levers are available for boom, arm, bucket, swing, and travel, and mechanical linkage control levers are used for boom swing and blade.

Ex27u

The EX27U has been engineered and built with the same high standards of quality control and field ruggedness you’ve come to expect from Hitachi. The swinging boom lets you dig parallel to walls and pavement. The boom cylinder and arm cylinder are cushioned at stroke ends to absorb shocks, with the boom cylinder cushioned only at the boom end. An anti-drift valve reduces front end attachment drift, and HN bushings are used on all front attachments and blade joints. A four-pillar cab and 12” (300 mm) rubber shoes are standard, while an enclosed cab and a steel track are optional.

Ex35u

The EX35U has smooth, multi-function control, dependable production, and low operating costs. Like all of Hitachi’s ultra-short radius minis, the EX35U comes standard with a swinging boom and a dozer blade. It features an instrument bay that is logically arranged and easy to read, even in bright light, providing a functional and comfortable work station for high productivity. The carbody is extremely tough for long life, and HN bushings are used on all front attachments and blade joints. A four-pillar cab and 12” (300 mm) rubber shoes are standard, while an enclosed cab and a steel track are optional.

Ex50u

Ultra-compact yet powerful, the EX50U will prove itself over and over on your job sites as a productive money-maker. In addition to a swinging boom and standard dozer blade, the EX50U has an already-plumbed hydraulic package for a hammer or other powered attachment. It comes with 16” (400 mm) rubber shoes as standard, a side step for easy access, and an easily detachable machine cover.
