Frame

SYNKRO Soil is life ...

The classic piece of equipment for conservation in soil preparation is the cultivator. The mixing in of harvest residues close to the surface increases the fertility of the soil, improves water economy, and protects against erosion. In the cultivation of land today, saving time and cost are the top priorities. SYNKRO cultivators in two- or three-row versions, with many options of rear rollers, create the ideal conditions for the germination of weeds, volunteers and catchcrops.

SYNKRO Series Cultivators

The SYNKRO series cultivators are designed so that they can be used for both shallow and deep soil preparation (up to 12" / 300 mm). "Farmers today are responsible for the soil of tomorrow."

SYNKRO Series 1000 / 1000 S two-row mounted cultivators

After the harvest, the harvest residues must be efficiently mixed with the soil so that the rotting process can begin early. This straw-soil mixture ensures the optimal living conditions for the soil life. Pöttinger SYNKRO cultivators have been developed to deliver optimum stubble cultivation. Compact machines for shallow and intensive mixing preparation. Easy-to-pull, two-row cultivator in a short, compact design for lightweight tractors and smaller tractors. The leg clearance of 16.9" / 430 mm and a frame height of 32.3" / 820 mm guarantee smooth operation.

SYNKRO 1003 /1003 K/1003 T range three-row cultivators

The SYNKRO 1003 cultivators are equipped with a rugged 3-row main frame; the concave discs are guided by the rear roller. The purpose of the three-row cultivator is to get fine clods that would have a positive effect on the desired result with mulch seedbeds. The points fitted with blades move all of the soil surface, producing a high level of incorporation. The fine crumbling action reduces cavities, leaving a level finish and an area of fine earth for sowing to ensure good germination.

The tines give the soil air to breathe

SYNKRO supplies proven point designs for the even incorporation and intensive mixing of harvest residues, liquid manure, dung, mulch etc. Pöttinger’s SYNKRO cultivators are renowned and successful in many markets for making a clean cut through the whole soil structure, producing good crumbling incorporations and mixing.

Dimension

Tines and point designs

The tine distance of 17" / 430 mm requires a point design of its own so that a full cut through is obtained. Here, Pöttinger relies on a split duck foot point in combination with a chisel blade. For working on particularly flat ground, the combination of a flat blade with a dual-heart point is recommended.Chisel points that are reversible give the most efficient use of materials. The blades and chisel points are 0.4" / 10 mm thick, and are hardened to give a long useful lifetime.Inward-turned side shins guide the flow of soil inwards, in order to prevent ridging at the sides.

The legs

In the 1003 range, the leg is made curved. The slightly curved leading tines do not guide the soil upwards, but mix it in thoroughly to the side in a strong rolling movement without throwing up soil. The mulch duck foot points can be dismantled with just one bolt.

Point designs

The narrow leg width ensures the best mixing-in of harvest residues – an ideal prerequisite for mulch seedbeds. For incorporating stubble, Pöttinger recommends two options that work efficiently: the duck foot points with a quick-change system, or the combined mulch-duck foot points – a combination of a chisel point or dual-heart point with removable blades. For deeper cultivation, there is a choice between a narrow point with a quick-change system, a chisel point, and a dual-heart point. Hardened steel points and armoured duckfoot points available for an extended service life.

Equipment

Individually hitchable

In order to achieve close coupling, the position of the tractor’s lower linkage should be angled slightly upwards to the machine. The solid Cat. II or Cat. III cross shaft gives two coupling heights depending on the tractor’s tyres. The top link can be mounted in 4 different positions. The hitch-angle can also be adjusted to obtain sufficient lifting height. This enables the cultivator to be adapted to different tractor sizes.

Equipped for high performance

A long useful lifetime is guaranteed only by precise machining and strong connections. At Pöttinger, high-quality machining is standard. The SYNKRO hitch is also adjustable for inclination. This enables ideal matching to the tractor. This optimized hitching geometry improves ground clearance on headland turns and during transport.

Trailed cultivator for large area coverage

The length and height adjustable drawbar is coupled to the lower links. Mounting to Cat. II and Cat. III is possible using the double flanged hitch. The practical hose holder and two parking struts are standard. The chassis is also adjustable to ensure a perfect match to different tractors and rear rollers. An air brake or hydraulic brake system is also available to provide enhanced safety at high transport speeds of up to 24.9 mph / 40 kph.

Tine

Serie 1003 K / 1003 T – with hydraulic folding

The hydraulic folding of the frame enables convenient and problem-free road transport, with a width of less than 10’ / 3 m.The interlock engages automatically using a hydraulic-activated catch.

Roller

Tine tilt setting

The different settings enable the leg angle to be adapted to the soil conditions – no problem on dry, hard ground.Three settings on the 1000 range. Two settings with overload protection.

Concave discs

The concave disc depth is controlled by the rear roller. The roller is fitted with a unique suspension which has a centralised adjustment for the rear roller to permit quick changes to the working depth without rearranging the concave levelling discs. The rear roller of the cultivator looks after depth control. Different working depths can be set with a finely matched adjustment matrix.

Cage Roller

The ideal roller for dealing with dry, non-sticky soils. The roller is fitted with strong rods for optimal compression. Diameter 21.7" / 540 mm, eleven rods or 26" / 660 mm, twelve rods.

Double Cage Roller

The double cage roller is fitted with different diameters (21.7" / 540 mm front and 16.5" / 420 mm rear). The pendular function ensures optimal crumbling and adjustment to the contours of the ground.

Knife Ring Roller

The advantages of the cutting ring roller (23.6" / 600 mm diameter) include enhanced crumbling and compression by means of wedge-shaped rings. The blades between the rings crush the lumps of earth and also clean the spaces between them. Compression in strips has the advantage that water can be absorbed better. The correct choice for dry, difficult soils.

Packer Ring Roller

The shoulder rings have a diameter of 22" / 550 mm, and there are eight rings per metre of working width. The roller leaves behind consolidation in strips, promoting water absorption and soil respiration. This is the ideal roller for stony, damp soil conditions and large quantities of organic material.

Roto Pack Roller

Two aggressive tine rotors that reach into each other, crumble and mix particularly well. Each rotor consists of a central tube. The front rotor has a diameter of 11" / 270 mm, the rear rotor 8.5" / 215 mm (tine external diameter is 24" / 600 mm and 21.5" / 545 mm). The pendular suspension ensures the best adaptation to any unevenness of the terrain. Rotopack rotors mix particularly intensively – for light to heavy, non-sticky soils. Harvest residues remain on the surface of the soil and protect the soil against drying.
