Mini CX

Tampers

There are two rapid-blow hammers in the JCB Vibromax Tampers range: the VMR 60 and the VMR 75. Light and extremely easy to transport, it’s no surprise that these machines have become such a popular choice with leading players in the hire industry. They are also key tools for utility companies who depend upon Tampers like these for levelling trenches before laying pipes and cables, and then for filling in the trench. Powered by four-stroke petrol engines, the two models offer operating weights of 60kg and 73kg respectively. Both feature a strong and sturdy, low-maintenance design that results in longer working hours for higher productivity. They also have a low centre of gravity with a four-column guide and stable function, guaranteeing high reliability for continuous, fault-free working. Another essential feature of these Tampers is that they generate a horizontal force as well as a vertical compaction force. This helps the operator to move forwards and backwards with the machine when in use. Finally, for ease of transport, the rammers have a clip-on set of wheels that lift the plate off the ground.

Single-Direction & Reversible Plates

JCB Vibromax VMF Single-Direction Plates are specifically designed for compaction of asphalt, granular soil and other non-cohesive (or less-cohesive) materials. Particularly good in trenches, they can be fitted with rubberised plates for the compaction of paving stones and block paving, and used without the rubberised plate for sand compaction before laying block paving. VMF Plates feature a powerful petrol engine (diesel on the VMF1300 D) and a wear-resistant, high-grade cast tamping plate for optimum durability. With weights ranging from 68kg to 130kg and with working widths of 350mm to 500mm, there are four popular models to choose from. VMP Reversible Plates are hydrostatically operated and designed to compact granular soil and cohesive material effectively. With a reversing and stationary feature, these machines allow you to carry out compaction tasks in confined areas where turning would be difficult (or impossible) for a non-reversing unit. All of the VMP models also feature high compaction output and surface performance for the toughest jobs.
