Caterpillar PR-105 overview

Caterpillar PR-105 features overview

Utility Profiling Market

Gone are the days when all you needed from a utility profiler was the ability to clean up after larger cold milling machines. In today’s growing 4-R market with its growing list of special jobs and increased production requirements, what was once referred to as the “small” end of the pavement profiling market is now big business. If you have the right machine, no wonder the Caterpillar PR-105 is becoming the choice of contractors and governments who are turning their attention to utility jobs. Just one look tells you the ROTO-MILL PR-105 is different. It’s big, towering over competitive models. It’s powerful, with a 90 HP CAT Diesel Engine and a working weight of 17,000 lbs.

It's what you would expect from Caterpillar.

The ROTO-MILL PR-105 was designed from the ground up for cold milling applications. The result is the heaviest, most powerful utility milling machine ever designed.

Caterpillar didn't forget that utility jobs take you into tight places.

The ROTO-MILL PR-105 can cut around the smallest utility devices and, with its exclusive front cutter, get into places you never thought possible. It can still cut through the toughest pavements.

In a business that's tough on equipment, the PR-105 is easy to service and backed with CAT PLUS services.

Cutting through pavements day in and day out is tough on any machine. It's the nature of the business. That’s why the ROTO-MILL PR-105 is designed for easy service and maintenance. All things considered, the ROTO-MILL PR-105 is a great value in utility sized pavement profilers.

The ROTO-MILL PR-105 Can Get You More Profiling Jobs Because It Gives You More Profiling Capabilities.

Before you invest in a utility machine, you want to know the equipment can pay for itself. With the PR-105, the answer is YES. Whether you need an auxiliary profiler, one for independent production, or for assignments, the PR-105 can tackle a wide variety of profiling and pavement repair work. Just look at the new.

PR-105 Features

Your operator will also appreciate the PR-105’s large fuel tank and 100 gallon water tank. The large capacities mean fewer service stops and more daily production hours. Good ground stability and low vibration during tough cutting are additional characteristics that make the PR-105 easier on your operator. He doesn’t have to fight the machine, so he’s less fatigued, more productive.

Maneuverability

Operator Comfort and Serviceability

You know getting the job done right depends on a combination of the right man and the right machine. So everything possible has been done to ensure ease of operation and serviceability for your operator. From his swivel-mounted seat, strategically located slightly ahead of the cutter on the left side, the operator can see clearly ahead and to the side of the machine. This means he has an unobstructed view of both cutters, as well as the work area. Steering is accomplished through two hydraulic assisted systems and a conveniently located indicator that shows the operator the position of the rear wheel. Both the front and rear wheels hold their set position and require only occasional corrections during milling operations. This lets the operator concentrate on the actual cutting. Speed and cutter control levers are located.
