Emission
Emission Technology
With advanced emission technology, the latest engines provide a clean power solution meeting stringent government legislations up to Tier 4 Final / EU Stage IV, where emissions are at near-zero levels. In addition, Cummins' latest engines are capable of using B20 biodiesel, helping the environment and the operator’s bottom line. All Cummins engines are designed and built with durability, performance, and fuel efficiency in mind, providing the best power package around.
Ultra-low emissions
For US EPA Tier 4 Final and EU Stage IV emissions regulations, Cummins has a technology solution with clear advantages for every type of equipment. The regulations require a major reduction in emissions, bringing particulate matter and oxides of nitrogen to near-zero levels.
Integrated Aftertreatment System
For equipment manufacturers, the Cummins Tier 4 Final / Stage IV package provides a fully integrated air-intake-to-exhaust aftertreatment system designed to minimise space and maximise output. For optimised performance, Cummins uses a combination of different Tier 4 Final / Stage IV technologies across various power bands, ensuring the best result for every application. This technology approach is incremental, where the right usage of diesel oxidation catalyst, selective catalytic reduction, or diesel particulate filter technology allows Cummins to meet these stringent standards while delivering performance and packaging benefits to the customer. Cummins has vast experience in exhaust aftertreatment, with all solutions designed and built in-house by Cummins Emission Solutions. Knowledge and experience with the diesel particulate filter position Cummins well for any future emissions regulations, which would most likely call for particulate level counting.
