The world's largest construction machinery trade show is returning after 3 years. A total of 495,000 visitors from more than 200 countries came to Munich for the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery in 2022, which is about 130,000 fewer than in 2019, but if we consider the absence of visitors and exhibitors from Russia and Belarus, or the global post-covid situation, one must admit that the attendance exceeded all expectations not only of the organizers. The percentage of foreign visitors was around 50 %. Similarly, the number of exhibiting companies was a few hundred lower than in 2019. Around 3,200 exhibitors from 60 countries showcased their products and technological innovations in the field of construction and mining machinery and vehicles.

What can the visitors expect in 2025? The organisers have prepared an exhibition area equivalent to 86 football fields and expect attendance and the number of exhibitors to be closer to the pre-Corona level. Some major exhibitors such as Volvo or Liugong are returning this edition. An estimated 500,000 visitors can expect a themed trade fair, with each day of the event dedicated to a specialised topic such as climate neutrality, alternative drive concepts or sustainable construction.
This year’s edition of bauma will aim to answer a crucial question: What does the future hold for the construction machinery sector? Attendees at bauma 2025 will explore potential answers across all exhibition areas, including the bauma LAB0 innovation hall. Live presentations, panel discussions, and keynote sessions in the supporting program will offer insights into the key challenges and goals facing the construction machinery industry.
