Agritechnica 2023 - Leading trade fair for agricultural machinery


Agritechnica trade fair represents a unique possibility to explore products and services from leading companies of the agricultural sector. The newest crop production technology is being displayed, tested and discussed every second year in Hannover. Agritechnica is the main international industry meeting place and networking platform for farming and forestry innovations.

Agritechnica is one of the largest farming trade shows in the world that has taken place in Hannover since 1995. Every two years, Hannover Messe trade fair opens its gates to welcome over 400,000 visitors of Agritechnica from all around the world. Over 2,800 exhibitors from 53 countries are ready to display the latest innovations from the farming sector in 23 halls. The programme consists of B2B networking, live events, demo shows, panel discussions, workshops and conferences on hot topics from the farming industry. This year's show will take place from November 12 to 18, 2023 and is expected to attract over 400,000 professional visitors from around the world and more than 2,600 exhibitors, both local and abroad.

Agritechnica has a long tradition as a trade fair held in Germany. From 1985 until 1993, Agritechnica, organised by DLG, took part every second year in Frankfurt am Main. The first edition of Agritechnica in Hanover took place in 1995 and the trade fair has been held in the northern German city since then. The Hanover exhibition centre (Hannover Messe) is considered the biggest convention venue in the world, covering an indoor area of 392,500 m² (in 24 halls) and an open-air site of 58,000 m². Long story short, the Hannover Exhibition Grounds offer an enormous modern show area in terms of size and technical facilities.

Agritechnica, the biggest agro show in Germany will run from 12 to 18 November 2023. As of May 2023, 2,200 exhibitors have already signed up and listed in the preliminary exhibitor database at www.agritechnica.com. The organisers are expecting to host over 2,600 exhibitors from 53 countries that will occupy a square area of more than 400,000 m2 across 23 exhibiting halls, including 20 country pavilions. The farming show will be covered by over 1,500 members of the media and press.

The last edition of Agritechnica took place in 2019 and counted over 2,800 international exhibitors (+4% compared to the 2017 edition) from 53 countries, with the majority coming from abroad (mostly Italy). Agritechnica 2019 was visited by more than 446,000 visitors from 127 countries and attracted numerous farmers, contractors and machinery experts from all over the world. Top visitor countries included Germany (306,702 local visitors), the Netherlands (15,384), Denmark (11,732) and Austria (8,911). The majority of visitors (62%) were professionals from the agricultural and forestry sectors, followed by representatives from general industry, retails and sales, trade (repair), consulting, municipality or universities.According to the visitor survey by Wissler & Partner, 97 % of visitors evaluated their visit positively. Moreover, the show was covered by 1,478 representatives of press and media, 687 of them being international.
